5 songs in my head/on my mind. They all have stories behind them even, me thinks

1. Red, red wine.
2. Daydream Believer -The Monkees
3. Barbara Ann -Beach Boys
4. As time goes by
5. I'm a believer -Monkees again

BUT THAT MATTERS NOT! The reason for this update is that im making this the official my friends harry potter and the half blood prince LJ discussion thread. Complete with spoilers, feel free to share theories.

We've already discussed this, but in the spirit of starting a thread:

-Snape is the cats pajamas, and the death of Dumbledore was premeditated (though he's still dead)

-Again, Snape is awesome...Dumbledore was clearly pleading for him to use the death curse

-Harry and Ginny totally had something good going, and I predict that they will not, in fact, stay apart in the next book.

-Draco or Snape will die in the next book

Questions: Will Hogwarts stay open? Who is R.A.B? Will the Ministry of Magic play the part of protagonist or antagonist in book 7?

-Snape is dead in the next book. I believe that Draco will be close to dying, but Harry will save him. Harry witnessed the fact that Draco did not want to kill Dumbledore.

-Harry and Ginny will definitely get back together in the next book.

-Not quite sure about your theory on Dumbledore's death though. Or maybe I am. It's hard to say. It was emphasized a lot that Dumbledore really trusted Snape so yeah, he could have been saying that he trusted Snape to kill him. But I don't know about that one.

See here's the thing though--Dumbledore would never have begged anyone to do help him with anything, he's just that good. Here are some points to consider a) he wanted to die so that Draco did not have to commit murder, b) he thought that they needed a spy (aka snape) if they were going to win, c) on more than one occasion throughout the book he belittled his importance in the cause against Voldemort, and d) I think this was something Snape and Dumbledore may have discussed before--where Dumbledore told Snape that Snape had to kill Dumbledore if it ever came down to that, and in that last scene, Dumbledore is pleading with Snape to follow through. Note how Rowling didn't write it as "Severus...plese help me live..." she just wrote "Severus...please..."

I think that this is a twist that would totally fit in Rowling's style of story-telling, and that it's brilliantly executed. Also, Snape is awesome because he alone had the guts to go undercover against Voldemort, and he pulls it off.

yes, yes. we know you have a boy crush on severus. but heres something for everyone to chew on. Why is SS so pissed about being called a coward?

Well, if John is right, Snape would be angry about being called a coward because he is going undercover against Voldemort. So yeah, that takes a lot of guts and not a coward thing to do in the least.

BUT Harry is angry with Snape, John. He's going to want to kill him. So Snape could very well be killed by Harry in the end.

Possibly, but I think that over the course of the next book Harry will find out, probably against his wishes, that Snape is innocent.

I'm still not totally set on the whole Snape being innocent ordeal though. The beginning of the book was just...woah. I mean, how the heck could Voldemort not find out that Snape wasn't totally with him. You know what I mean?

So what're yours, Brian? I second Huy's... don't have anything terribly interesting of my own, but geeeeez Harry was stupid to break up with Ginny, especially with Dumbledore's constant "Love conquers all, blah blah blah" theme...

Oops, that wasn't Huy at all. for some reason I automatically made that assumption based on the icon, without even looking at the name. haha.
